What you need to
know about warranty
Under no circumstances
will warranty be discussed on the telephone without previously receiving
the online form.
All correspondence should be done in writing, either by post, fax or
email. This ensures that all correspondence is documented and kept on
file.
We cannot process ANY warranty claims without the form being filled in.
If your boat is new then it is covered for 12 months against all defects.
If your boat is up to 5 years old, Deva Marine offer a mechanical failure
warranty on the engine and drive against
major failure in the first 3 months (from the date on your invoice), this
does not extend to gauges and electrical equipment,
unless agreed at time of purchase.
If your boat is between 5 and 10 years old, Deva Marine offer a
mechanical failure warranty on the engine and drive against
major failure in the first month (from the date on your invoice), this
does not extend to gauges and electrical equipment,
unless agreed at time of purchase.
Deva Marine are unable to offer a warranty on boats older than 10 years
of age unless this has been confirmed in writing.
If your boat was bought on brokerage then you have no warranty.

Click here to fill out the form and submit it or send it to us. On receipt and approval of this
we will need you to fax (01248 450140) or post a copy of your original
final invoice, and all service history. You can also post us the claim at
our usual address. Please keep a note of the claim number so you can keep
a check on your claim.

On receipt of the completed form we will assess whether your boat is
covered. We may call you to discuss the claim with any questions we or
you may have.

We will confirm what is or is not covered and we will then normally
either:
Send our mechanic to the boat and correct the fault as soon as possible
Ask you to get 2 quotes from local firms to rectify the faults
Ask you to return the boat to our address where we will carry out the
repairs
IT IS THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY FOR ANY TOWS, LIFTING,
STORAGE, MOORINGS AND TRANSPORT TO AND FROM AN AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTRE.

We will carry out the work. If you have new faults that need to be
rectified then a new form will need to be completed.

Please do not forget to attach a copy of your original invoice and all
service history when faxing or posting your claim and remember please do
not authorise any works without our permission first otherwise we will
not be able to settle the invoice.
