Suzuki
Fuel-Injected 2-Stroke V-6 Outboards
Raw Power
Suzuki’s Big EFI V-6s Deliver Big Performance That Translates
Into Speed, Power And Reliability In All Conditions.
V-6 outboards are all about power and speed. Whether you’re
fighting heavy ocean chop miles from shore, or rocketing
across a big lake to that secret spot where the fish are
always biting, you want an outboard that flies! Suzuki’s big
EFI 2-strokes deliver exactly that kind of high performance on
everything from big offshore powerboats to nimble bass boats.
Maximum Power
Digital electronic fuel injection and advanced Microlink™
ignition system work together to constantly adjust the fuel
charge and ignition timing to deliver maximum performance in
all conditions, at all speeds and at all temperatures.
Throttle response is immediate with no loading up or
hesitation, even if you’ve been trolling for hours.
Minimum Hassles
For all their sophistication, Suzuki’s 2-stroke V-6 engines
are remarkably easy to live with. Gravity-fed oil injection
automatically provides just the right amount of oil so there’s
one less thing to worry about. An engine monitor gauge lets
you keep track of the oil level, oil flow, engine temperature
and over-rev conditions. Long-term durability begins with an
engine made of an aluminium alloy chosen for its resistance to
corrosion. Add to that specially engineered coatings and paint
and a combination of stainless steel parts, bonding wires and
sacrificial anodes. Together they form a system that can
effectively counteract the damaging effects of both fresh and
saltwater. Plus, fresh water flush-out ports make cleanup
quick and easy once you get back to the dock.
Wide open throttle or trolling, fresh water or salt, Suzuki’s
big EFI V-6s are designed to take it and keep coming back for
more.
Introducing
The New Suzuki DF140 4-Stroke Outboards
Lightweight And
Compact, The 2002 DF140 offers blistering performance due to
the best power-to-weight ratio of any production 4-stroke in
its class.
Weight is the enemy of speed. Lots of power is fantastic. Lots
of power in a lightweight package is even better and even
faster.
This
Lightweight Can Beat Up On The Heavyweights
It produces 140 horsepower, yet weighs just 410 pounds fully rigged.
That’s not only considerably less than competitive 140s and
150s, it’s less than one of our competitor’s 135 HP outboards!
Plus, features like a two-stage cam drive and an offset
driveshaft make this an extremely compact unit so it’s ideal
for a wide variety of fresh and saltwater boats.
Built For Speed
An exclusive new engine cover design with a large air
induction port provides maximum airflow for maximum power.
Under the hood you’ll find Suzuki’s multi-point sequential
fuel injection matched with a tuned, long-track intake
manifold and race-proven 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust system. The
result is crisp response throughout the rpm range and
excellent fuel efficiency. Solid state ignition ensures quick
starts and an electronic Idle Speed Control System maintains a
smooth 700 rpm idle. An overall 2.38:1 gear ratio means the
DF140 can turn a larger prop for instant acceleration and
awesome top-end speeds.
Long-Lasting Performance
To ensure this outboard is reliable, the DF140 is the first
4-stroke to utilize an oil cooler. Plus, some of the intake
air is diverted to the flywheel which acts as a fan
distributing cooling air to key engine components. Put it all
together and you’ve got heavy-duty performance in a
lightweight powerplant. |
