The 216 is constructed with Hunter’s patented ACP (Advanced Composite Process), utilized on a number of our other successful models. The combination of therformed UV stable plastics, fibreglass, and pressure-injected foams create a tough and low maintenance boat that is virtually unsinkable.

Hunter Legend 170 sail boat
Designed by the Hunter Design Team and produced by using the patented Advanced Composite Process, the Hunter 170 is the ultimate daysailer. Seating for six is no problem with the wide open and uncluttered cockpit. The open transom allows for great access for swimming or boarding and there is even a dual access storage area forward to store your provisions. A wide beam will keep you stable while the hull design will really perform on all points of sail. Beginner or seasoned sailor alike will both appreciate the simplified rig with a large main and small jib. A kick-up centerboard and swing-up rudder makes beaching or landing a snap.

CE Certified boats are available for purchase in the United States, upon special order and for increased cost. As stated in our owners’ manuals, all CE Certified boats will carry a special CE plate, which will be attached to the boat. Boats that are destined for Europe or countries that require CE Certification will have this plate. Boats intended to be sold in the U. S. and most other areas will not carry the plate even though many aspects of the boat comply with the requirements. All hulls and decks are constructed to the same specifications whether they are to be CE Certified or not. The difference is in add-on accessories and different voltage appliances specified for certain countries.

The hull is built with an Advanced Composite Process which integrates an ABS plastic, high density foam and woven roving into a sandwich construction that is both unsinkable and five times more impact resistant than fiberglass.

Rigging the 140 is quick and easy with a deck stepped hinged mast. A large main and small jib provides plenty of power, but is also easy to handle. An uncluttered cockpit and wide bench seats can accommodate all the crew.
